RURAL MOROCCO

2 days, 1 night (flexible)

This is an extremely unique and special experience.  The visit promises to be one that we are confident you will remember long after you have returned home.  Not only do you have an insight into the ‘real’ Morocco; but you are also joining a community which is working towards being ethical and giving back to the locals as much as possible.

Day 1:

• Pickup from Riad/ Hotel, then a scenic drive to Amizmiz, stopping to visit the local markets

• Drive through the mountains, stopping for  a picnic lunch with staggering mountain views

• Drive to your homestay in the local village, tea & pastries on arrival

• Meet with the local families and see a tour of your overnight stay/ house

• A walk around the village

• Take a  traditional Berber cookery class in prep for dinner

• Enjoy dinner under the stars with local Berber singing and dancing

Day 2:

• Breakfast with your homestay family

• Choose between taking a carpet weaving workshop, a hike,  milking the goats, or get scrubbed squeaky clean in a true beldi hammam

• Lunch

• Drive back down to Amizmiz, then return to Marrakesh

Your Rural Morocco Experience includes:

• A 4x4 air-conditioned vehicle

• Private driver

• A visit to the local souks in Amizmiz

• Picnic lunch, tea and pastries on arrival in the village, all meals

• A cooking class, and a choice between a weaving workshop,  tending to the animals, a hike or a beldi hammam.

• A tour around the village
